Prince William and Duchess Kate were dressed in baby blue as they showed off the newest member of the Royal family from the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital at 7:15 p.m. London time, Tuesday evening.
The Duchess of Cambridge told reporters, “It was very emotional, it is such a special time.” Her husband added, “Very emotional, very special.”
Regarding the big question of what the Royal couple will call their first born child, William responded, “We are still working on a name.”
The former Kate Middleton held the heir to the throne when they first appeared, and later handed off their son to his father.
Throughout the question and answer session, both parents appeared to be fighting back tears as they smiled broadly.
William and Kate quickly walked back into the hospital in order to buckle the infant into a car seat for the ride home to Kensington Palace.
The baby daddy carried the car seat to a waiting black vehicle, where he expertly installed the seat in back where the new mother was already waiting.
A close up view of the boy who will someday be King of England, is partially obstructed by Prince William’s elbow but it is still a totally great first peek at the Prince.
When the crowd realized that Prince William would be driving his new family back to the Royal palace, cheers and shouts rose.
