Dina Eastwood confirmed Thursday that she and actor Clint Eastwood have been living apart but remain close for the sake of their daughter.
According to the 48-year-old wife of the veteran A-lister, they have been separated since June 2012 – before his now infamous parody at the Republican National Convention.
They wed on March 31, 1996 and reportedly spent their 17th anniversary apart – a tidbit that was reported by Radar earlier this year but didn’t pick up much steam in the media at the time.
The 83-year-old ‘Dirty Harry’ actor was seen with several of his daughters at the 2013 Coachella Music Festival in April, which was right around the time that his wife checked herself into Sierra Tucson rehab facility for treatment of depression and anxiety.
In 2012 Dina Eastwood starred in a reality documentary television series on E! Network. ‘Mrs. Eastwood & Company’ was filmed at her Carmel-by-the-Sea mansion in California and was not renewed for a second season.
According to Radar, it was the reality show that caused a major rift in the marriage. Clint didn’t want her to put their family life on display, preferring his privacy. Her decision to go forward with the project fueled his decision to move out.
The couple’s daughter Morgan is 16. He has six other children from previous relationships: Kimber, Kyle, Scott, Kathryn, Alison and Francesca.
