Just when we thought the Lohan clan might be getting their collective lives back on track, it turns out that mom Dina Lohan has been arrested on a charge of DUI.
A New York State trooper pulled over Dina’s white BMW in Long Island after she was clocked traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone at 11 p.m. Thursday night.
Dina registered a blood alcohol level of .20 — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Officers busted her for speeding and added an “aggravated” driving while drunk charge, because of her level of intoxication.
When the 50-year-old got to the police station she made a claim that she had been injured during the arrest, prompting officers to summon paramedics to the jail.
This statement was later issued: “State Police called an ambulance to have Lohan evaluated. When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries and she recanted her claim.”
Mama Lohan was released to a third party, who was NOT her actress daughter Lindsay Lohan. She is due in court on Sept. 24.
We’re guessing Lindsay’s New York legal eagle Mark Heller will be all over the case since he and Dina enjoyed a recent date night at the premiere of ‘The Canyons’ at Lincoln Center.
Los Angeles radio personalities ‘Gary & Dino’ hit twitter with Lohan’s mug shot that they captioned, “Our girl Dina Lohan delivers mug shot excellence following an arrest for DWI & aggravated DWI.”
