Angelina Jolie and two of her children, Maddox and Zahara, flew into LAX airport last night after spending some time in Las Vegas to promote Angelina’s new movie, “Unbroken.”

Angelina surprised exhibitors at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday by coming in to preview “Unbroken,” the World War II drama she directed and produced, which is due out in December. She addressed the audience during The State of the Industry: Past, Present and Future and Universal Studios Presentation.

“Unbroken” tells the true story of Lou Zamperini, a World War II hero and track star who ran in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Zamperini, played by Jack O’Connell, spent a terrifying 47 days floating in the Pacific Ocean following the crash of his U.S. military plane. He spent the next two years as a prisoner of war after washing up behind Japanese enemy lines. It is based on the book by Laura Hillenbrand.

“I wanted to make this film because its message is one that we all need now more than ever,” Angelina told the audience.

This is the second film Angelina has directed. Her first was the 2011 war drama “In the Land of Blood and Honey.”
