Even though she doesn’t know where she’ll be serving her five months in prison, Martha Stewart will be able to get a jump start on monogramming her linens with her prisoner number: 55170-054. She’s been instructed to begin serving her sentence by Oct. 8. Requesting to serve her time at a minimum security prison in Danbury, Conn., so her 90-year-old mother can visit, federal officials have yet to determine where she’ll serve her time.
But she can rest assured her cell decorating bill will be paid, as she renegotiated her contract with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. The company will pay Stewart $900,000 annually for the next five years, plus a bonus ranging from 55 to 150 percent of her salary. The checks will start rolling in after Martha finishes her prison sentence and begins her five months of house arrest – or, as we like to call it, “staying out of Page Six’s sightings.”
