Sarah Jessica Parker’s Fashion Inspired By Homeless Twins

It’s not that we plan on bumrushing Indochine today to get a look at Sarah Jessica Parker’s super secret fashion line – or to sneak a peak at which second-tier editors are forced to attend the grand unveiling – but we took a particular interest in Mrs. Matthew Broderick’s Bitton collection because of what it’s being compared to.

Reports WWD:

Details on the collection, including price point, target audience, and manufacturer, remain tight-lipped, but many insiders are already comparing it to The Row, the fashion line developed by the Olsen twins

Ah. So homeless-street-teen-meets-1930s-vamp then, eh?

Carrie Bradshaw was a Character. She dressed great because she had great wardrobe people, SJP played her character. She (SJP) dresses only okay and only when dressed by Oscar DLR, et al. Why doe these marginal talent have a clothing line? WHY????? Do not confuse the character w the person. Charlon Heston can not part the sea… Know what I mean.
Have you ever seen SJP & her Husband on the streets on a regular day.. it’s a scary sight.

gawd – everyone has a fashion line. Duh. SJP has always been a trendsetter. Sex took it too another level. I suspect, though, that the line won’t be designed for girls with booty. Still, way to go Jessica. A girl’s gotta work.

Congresswoman Sherri Davis, R-CA says:

I think Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line “Bitten” will be good, and here’s why. At a lot of clothing stores they sell things for $200 that they have made in China for $5. Even if it’s only a scarf. With this line, they will sell things for $20 that they have made in China for $5, which seems like a much better bargain for the consumer. And it doesn’t cost any more for the people in China to sew up something fashionable and chic as it does for them to sew up other things, so why not have them make things that are chic? Now mostly I shop at Finkleman’s, and I have a fierce loyalty to Finkleman’s, as I do to my Constituents and indeed to all the little people out there who make it all possible, but I will give these items a look-see over at Steve and Barry’s Place next time I am out shopping — which is quite frequently! And then I will report back to you.

And plus, the money saved can now be spent on Baby.

As to the tag line, “Fashion is not a luxury, it is a right,” that seems a bit too long. Yet, many people originally thought the Constitution of the United States was too long — and that has held up wonderfully over the years.

Now if only we could put Sarah Jessica Parker in charge of pricing prescription drugs, we wouldn’t have durg companies like Genentech charging $47,000 a year for the cancer drug Avastin, which is just creepy.
