R.E.M. front man Michael Stipe officially came out of the closet today, saying that he wants to help guppies come to terms with their own tangled sexualities. Of his own proclivities, the long-coy Stipe told Spin via Us: “It was super complicated for me in the ???80s. I was totally open with the band and my family and my friends and certainly the people I was sleeping with. I thought it was pretty obvious.”
