On 90 Day Fiance and 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina became fan-favorites.

Between Brandon’s narcissistic mother and Julia’s memorable lines, they never had a shortage of drama.

Infamously, they lingered in misery of his parents’ farm before finally being able to move out on their own.

Now, they have moved again — but only after abruptly ending plans to move to Florida.

Julia Trubkina wisely mimes selling the farm

Fans were aware of Brandon and Julia’s plans to voluntarily consign themselves to life in Florida.

But we may never know what life would have been like for Brandon the Florida Man and Julia the Florida Woman.

They did not go Florida. Instead, there was a last minute change in plans.

“Did we move to Florida?” Julia wrote on Instagram. “No.”

“Our plans changed overnight,” she revealed.

“Yes, our lease is over,” Julia acknowledged.

“Yes, Brandon quit his job,” Julia noted. Often, that is a requirement before moving.

“Yes,” she then confirmed, “we packed up.”

“Where do you think we moved?” Julia teased. “And what influenced our plans?”

Obviously, and as intended, many fans and followers jumped to conclusions.

Why didn’t they move? Some speculated that Julia might be pregnant.

Others suggested that Brandon’s father’s health had encouraged the two to stick closer to “home.”

In fact, some began to fear that Brandon and Julia had done the unthinkable.

Had they returned to the farm — miserable and isolated from the rest of the world?

The fear was that Brandon and Julia had lost their hard-won independence … and were once again under Betty’s thumb.

Betty and Ron act like they’ve just been railroaded instead of finally agreeing to act like decent hosts, as they should have from the start.

Betty Gibbs revealed herself to be a 90 Day Fiance villain across two seasons.

She did not hesitate to use tears or anger to manipulate her son.

In fact, sometimes she didn’t bother with either, simply making decisions for him — and for Julia — without asking.

When Brandon explains that part of it is the indignity of farm labor, which disgusts and terrifies Julia, and part is that maybe his parents demand more of his time than Julia would like, Betty begins to tear up. Whether it’s a manipulation tactic or she’s genuinely hurt, who can say? … It’s probably both.

Honestly, one of the most defining moments of Brandon and Julia’s storyline was his father’s 70th birthday.

They attended Ron’s party … only to walk in the door and discover that it was more than that. It was an ambush.

Betty had thrown them a wedding shower that they explicitly did not want. Then she acted indignant when they left.

We don’t understand the layers of narcissism behind Betty’s actions.

But fans were quickly worried about what might become of Brandon and Julia’s marriage if they returned to the farm.

Fortunately, we have some very good news.

“We moved to Virginia beach,” Julia and Brandon shared in a later Instagram post.

“Now we have applied to the bank to buy a house,” they shared. “We are waiting for a response.”

The couple then teased: “Other news hopefully we will be able to announce a little later.”

Obviously, if Julia is pregnant, that would be news worthy of an announcement.

However, others thought of the recent trailer for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? and how one couple remains a mystery.

What if Brandon and Julia return? They’d be a great choice to balance out this wild cast!
