In recent months, Iggy Azalea has avoided brawling with Danielle Bregoli and seemed to take a step back from public life.

If reports are to be believed, it’s because Iggy is pregnant. And some of her critics are absolutely furious to hear it.

Iggy Azalea (Amethyst Amelia Kelly) and Playboi Carti (real name Jordan Terrell Carter) met and began dating in 2018.

It did not take them long before they were living together in Atlanta, Georgia.

Now, it is widely believed that Iggy is pregnant with Playboi’s baby.

However, for whatever reason, the couple has not chosen to announce this to the public — not yet, anyway.

In fact, Iggy Azalea has been playing this relationship fairly close to the vest from the start.

Back when Iggy participated in The X Change Rate, an interviewer asked if she was single at the time.

In response, Iggy flashed a ring on her hand and replied: "No, I’m not."

That does not actually confirm an engagement or marriage, but her words indicate that she’s in a relationship and that the ring is significant.

Iggy hasn’t suddenly vanished from the music industry.

She’s been active, releasing music and even new albums throughout the year.

However, reports indicate that she is pregnant and that Playboi is her baby daddy.

Iggy has yet to confirm that any part of that is true, but that hasn’t stopped fans from weighing in.

"Omg they’re baby going to be so cute," gushed a fan, who seemingly sincerely added: "The least problematic celeb couple."

Fun fact: Iggy Azalea is infamously problematic and many people heard about that before they ever heard a single note of her music.

That same commenter added: "This explains WLR being postponed."

"Yeeeees all the babies," another supporter raved. "Congratulations!! Nicki M is next for sho."

Let’s hope not, considering that Nicki Minaj’s man is a convicted sexual predator.

"Well, who wants to get pregnant also. Raise those hands," the fan comment continued.

Iggy’s fans are thrilled at the preggo reports, but not everyone who read the news was pleased as punch.

So, remember earlier when we pointed out that Iggy Azalea is infamously problematic and has been considered as such for years?

Some people have not forgotten.

"He really gave this culture vulture a black baby?" demanded one incredulous commenter at the news of her alleged pregnancy.

Wow. That line is a lot to unpack.

First of all, "culture vulture" is an amazing phrase, referring to someone who appropriates things from other cultures, divorcing them from context.

For example, every time that Iggy has been complimented on wearing black hairstyles, it seems like a slap in the face to many black communities.

Remember, in the US, only two states have enacted legislation to outlaw discrimination based upon traditional black hairstyles.

So when a black woman is ordered to straighten or cut her hair for her retail job, she’s not going to love seeing Iggy make millions with the same style.

Iggy is also a rapper, and white rappers have to walk a fine line without giving the perception that they’re snatching and grabbing black music.

Cultural appropriation is a complicated topic, and it doesn’t mean that Iggy is a sinister person — simply that she has an opportunity to grow ss a person.

Of course, some people don’t think that she’s much good as a rapper at all.

Our opinion? If she’s pregnant with a biracial child, she’s not trying to steal one more thing from the black community. She’s just having a baby.
