Kanye West remains absolutely beyond parody. Any absurd thing that you could make up, he’ll sincerely say for himself.

It turns out that the recent clip of Kanye slut-shaming Kim Kardashian is just part of a larger pattern of the way that he now sees the world.

In a new interview, he has many bonkers things to say about his porn addiction, his mental health, and a wild claim about his career status.

Kanye West sat down Apple Music’s Beats 1 to promote his new album, Jesus Is King.

Some of what Kanye has to say is funny, because statements so untethered from reality often make people laugh.

Some of what he has to say is a little scary when you realize that a man with four kids is someone whom you wouldn’t trust as a dogsitter.

"I am unquestionably, undoubtedly the greatest human artist of all time,” Kanye declares without any evidence.

“It’s just not even a question anymore at this point," he asserts for some reason. "It’s just a fact."

It turns out that he no longer consideres himself to be a "mere" musician or entertainer.

"Now that I’m in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me,” Kanye says.

“I’ve spread a lot of things," he remarks. "There was a time I was letting you know what high fashion had done for me."

"I was letting you know what the Hennessey had done for me," Kanye says.

"But now I’m letting you know what Jesus has done for me," he adds. "And in that I’m no longer a slave, I’m a son now, a son of God. I’m free."

Kanye also proclaims that he is at "peace" for the first time, which is definitely how one might feel during a mania-induced rant after a long time without proper meds.

"I just thank God for saving me mentally, physically, spiritually,” Kanye says. “I give it all up to God."

"And sometimes we’ll sit around and start to get mad about something or I’m about to scream about something and I’m rude," he admits.

"I had a rude spirit in me that I need to work on … " he admits. "The thing I pray for to be more Christ like is the Grace."

"Playboy was my gateway into full blown pornography addiction," Kanye reveals.

"My dad had a Playboy left out at age 5, and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life,” he explains.

“From age 5, to now having to kick the habit," Kanye says. "And it just presents itself in the open, like it’s OK. And I standup and say, you know, it’s not OK."

"With God, I’ve been able to beat things that had a full control of me," he declares.

"That Playboy that I found when I was 5 years old was written all over the moment that I was at the MTV Awards," Kanye notes.

He continues: "With the Timberlands, the Balmain jeans – before people were rocking Balmain jeans — and the Hennessy bottle."

"That was such a script out of a rockstar’s life," Kanye says.

"My mom had passed a year before," he notes. "And I had said, ‘Some people drown themselves in drugs. And I drown myself in my addiction.’"

"Sex," Kanye states. "And that’s what fed the ego, too. Money, clothes, cars, accolades, social media, paparazzi photos, going to Paris fashion week, all of that."

He notes that he can boast to having "a successful celebrity marriage” and “a successful interracial marriage."

"I have five years of marriage under my belt. What I learned from five years of marriage is, it is the greatest bond," Kanye says.

"It is a God bond to be able to have someone that you can call on, someone you can call out, someone that can call on you and call you out,” he adds.

“Equally yoked," Kanye says. "Someone to complain to and someone to grow with as we grow and raise our children."

Well that’s quite a window into Kim’s life.

"Christian innovation, Christian innovators," Kanye says. "That’s the net that we’re casting for the organization that we have now."

"[I’m] no longer an entertainer. I’m not here for anyone’s entertainment,” he insists.

“People say, ‘Oh this is going to kill your brand,’ but my brand is expressing how I feel," Kanye asserts.

He says that this is "whether it’s in line with what you thought the brand was even two days ago."

Kanye insists: "A smart man has the ability to pivot and say, ‘I think something different now.’"

"I don’t think this because this was the culture," he says. "I don’t think North should wear crop tops just because I had her wearing a slip dress when she was 2 years old."

"I think and feel differently now, now that I am Christian," Kanye asserts. "Now that I am the founder of a $3 billion organization and married for five years."

For the record, Kanye’s net worth is estimated to be between $240 million and $1 billion. That’s … a pretty large margin of uncertainty.

This is where Kanye’s untethered interview gets a little more upsetting.

"Not only was I diagnosed with mental illness," Kanye says.

He claims: "mental illness is something that was used to take my dome down by 10 feet to wash me out, to control me."

"I do love the fact that I can show the world that I’m sitting here and have been diagnosed, put on medication to make me fat on purpose," Kanye says.

Some medications cause weight gain, but it is not part of a sinister plot. Someone with unmedicated mental illness might believe otherwise.

"They’re trying to kill the superhero," Kanye absurdly claims.

"So, I’m trying to show that someone that’s diagnosed can still drive and be the founder of a multi-billion dollar organization," he says.

Kanye asserts that he "Can still be in service to Christ. Can still be a good husband and a good dad."

"My life does not end with this diagnosis," he concludes. "And I will not be stigmatized and discriminated."

We strongly agree that mental illness stigma must end. It would be comforting if Kanye were receiving the psychiatric help and medicine that he needs.

By the way, Kanye also says that it was a "stab" to hear Kylie referred to as a billionaire by Forbes while he is not. That’s quite an ego.

As easy as it is to laugh at Kanye’s claim to be the best artist of all time, we should remember that this is a deeply troubled man.

Blaming Kim for "putting up with him" is not the answer. She’s not responsible for Kanye’s poor choices — only for her own.

Kanye’s professions of religious faith are admirable, but we hope that he understands that faith can be wonderful, but never a substitute for prescription medication.

We wish him the best and hope that he is soon at a mental place where he is able to get the help that he needs.
