A Real Housewife of Atlanta has some really important news to share:
She’s about to expand her immediate family!

Bravo has announced that Burruss and husband Todd Tucker have decided to welcome a third child, although they’ll be doing so via surrogate.
And the entire journey will be documented on Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, whose trailer just dropped and which will premiere on November 3 at 8/7c.
The couple already shares three-year-old son Ace, while Burruss is mom to 16-year-old daughter Riley and Tucker is dad to daughter Kaela, 22.
Teases Bravo upon confirming this exciting development:
With their plates already mighty full, Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, will be looking to add even more to it.
However, Kandi isn’t so sure they will be able to get everything done that they need to before their little one arrives, which leads to some conflict for the couple, as you can see in the [below] trailer.
This past April, Burruss grew emotional and teary-eyed during the season 11 reunion when she recalled the advice Andy Cohen gave her about using a surrogate to expand her family.
“I had made a comment. I said something like, ‘I guess I’m gonna have a baby mama.’ And he said to me, ‘Don’t you ever say that because you are the mother,” the Grammy winner recounted of their conversation while appearing on Busy Tonight in February.
She added at the time:
“‘And to say she’s your baby’s mom is taking away from you.’ It made me feel better.”
Using a surrgate is a perfectly normal and acceptable way to have a child, of course.
This type of avenue to parenthood has been more revelant in celebrity gossip circles of late because Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have chosen it for their third and fourth kids.
For her part, Burruss opened up about her surrogacy plans in November of 2018, telling Us Weekly:
“We did find someone, and right now we are in the process — you know it hasn’t been done — but we’re in the process. …
"We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace. So, we have two embryos left and we know they’re girls.”
Kandi endured a high-risk pregnancy with Ace and has a history with fibroids, which is a noncancerous growths in the uterus. Hence the need for this surrrogate.

The former Xscape member and Tucker tied got married in 2014 in Atlanta.
"Todd and I are both nervous about it," she told The Daily Dish in November of the surrogate use, adding:
"I think it’s easier for Todd to handle or deal with because as a man he’s used to somebody else carrying the baby. But for me it’s a little bit harder for me to deal with the thought because I’m supposed to carry my own kids in my mind.
"But, hey, with science, it’s made other options to be able to make it happen."
