In need of some virtual hugs from her million-plus Instagram followers online, Tori Roloff just received one from an unexpected source.
At least the source would be considered unexpected from a handful of Little People, Big World viewers who aren’t major fans of Caryn Chandler att he moment.
Over the past couple weeks, Chandler has been indirectly dragged on multiple occasions by Amy Roloff, as the TLC personality has dedicated a chunk of her memoir to her 27-year marriage.
It ended in early 2016, and Amy and Matt Roloff have been on amicable terms ever since.
However, Amy recently said in an interview that she thinks Matt cheated on her back in the day with Chandler, writing in the aforementioned memoir:
"Matt and our farm manager [Chandler], who had been working for us a number of years by then, seemed to have more than just a working relationship or friendship.
"I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. I was devastated."
So that brings us up to speed on why Chandler has been in the news of late.
As for Tori Roloff?
She is pregnant with her second child (HOORAY!), she is in her second trimester — and she isn’t feeling great these days.
"This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last," Tori wrote in her latest Instagram post, opening up about ongoing physical and emotional issues and adding:
"Don’t get me wrong-I’ve been so lucky… im not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the lord)."
So, what’s been the problem then?
However I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around. I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure.
Hearing people ask me if I’m sure it’s not twins definitely does not help (for all our sakes-don’t ever ask a woman this question. Like ever).
That sound you may be hearing right now?
Millions of pregnant women around the world applauding Tori and cheering her on for being so raw and honest.
Continued Roloff in this same post:
It’s been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I’ve let my own body image issues get in the way. Us as women are so badass. Like we can grow babies.
And I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift-and I’m trying trust me.
From here, Tori addressed anyone else in her situation and/or anyone else who can relate to what she is going through, concluding as follows:
But for all those women out there-pregnant or not- you need to hear this just like I do: you’re beautiful, you’re strong, and dang it love yourself no matter what.
I know someone besides just me needs to hear that today. So excuse me while I go try my best to live out these words and continue growing a freaking human being.
We love it.
We so admire Tori for being this honest… and we’re aren’t alone in this assessment.
Among the many of supportive comments Roloff earned for this post, Chandler actually chimed in as follows:
Ugh … the body image insecurity train. I ride it often myself. Thank [you] sweet Tori — For a reminder to accept [and love] our imperfect selves (preggers or not ).
Love [you] gurl — you glow inside, out and always.
Well said, Caryn.
And hang in there, Tori. You’re amazing and incredible and such a terrific role model to women everywhere.
