Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York was filled with wild drama. There were even some tears thrown in for good measure!
The episode kicked off with Bethenny Frankel confirming she was dating a new man from Boston but admitting that she did not want to transfer all of her grief over the death of Dennis on to the new relationship.
While she said it was nothing serious, she recognized that it could get more serious down the line. That’s why she turned to a grief counselor to help her work through her feelings.
The grief counselor walked in, and Bethenny could not contain her tears. It all came out in a wild scene. She went on to explain that she was a bit lost in the shuffle after Dennis’ death.
His ex-wife dealt with all the arrangements, so she was left out in the cold.
"I had to figure out where my place was at the funeral. I didn’t want to intrude," she said.
"I didn’t feel like I had an identity in any of it, and I kept waking up in the middle of the night and asking my friends, ‘Is he really dead?’"
The counselor explained that there’s no easy way to deal with it because it comes out of nowhere. It’s not like Dennis had an underlying illness, so the last thing Bethenny expected was for her boyfriend to die.
Bethenny felt somewhat guilty because she tried to end the relationship with Dennis a week before his suicide.
"I could not get off the ride," she wailed.
"I feel guilty that the only way I got off the ride is that he’s dead. I hope that I didn’t have anything to do with him dying. But now, I feel better. And I feel guilty that I feel better."
"Dennis told me that if we didn’t work out, he was never gonna be in a relationship again, that he was gonna be alone for the rest of his life," she added.
"It was a tremendous pressure, and it kept me in. I don’t know what happened that night, and I will always have to live with that."
Bethenny wondered if she should even be dating again, but her grief counselor noted that it would be a way to honor the love Dennis gave her.
Sometime later, Dorinda invited everyone to her Berzerkshires home, and Luann was even on the invite list.
Luann was full of demands before she arrived at the house. From yoga instructors to massages, Luann wanted the full works while she was in the lavish house.
There was immediate drama when Dorinda decided to deal with the room situation before the ladies got there. If you watch The Real Housewives of New York online, you know that these ladies always fight over who gets to sleep where.
It’s a tad embarrassing, but Luann was put in the fish room and didn’t find out until the ladies were at dinner, and decided to lash out at Bethenny for seemingly getting her own way.
"You got some f–king nerve putting me in the f–king fish room!" Luann yelled as she speedily left the restaurant.
Yeah, this trip is going to be fun!
