Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are either being very responsible or very irresponsible at the moment.
There's not much in between.
Let's just pray it's the former, shall we?
The veteran Jersey Shore cast member and his often-angry occasional girlfriend reunited on Saturday, March 30 for a very important and special reason:
Their precious daughter, Ariana, turned a year old!
Harley shared a multitude photos and videos on her Instagram Stories of preparations for the big day, depicting numerous tents being set up in a backyard and the Jersey Shore crew filming behind the scenes.
And, of course, of her and Ronnie smiling alongside one another -- for the second time in just a few days.
Ronnie and Jen also spent time together earlier last week for another birthday party attended by their little girl.
At one point in footage from this weekend, Jen pans the camera over to Ortiz-Magro’s brother, who cracks a joke that makes Harley laugh.
Afterward, she shows that his grandma, and “auntie” are there, referring to them as “RonRon’s family.”
Does this mean Ronnie and Jen are back together? That they're a true romantic item for the 79th time over the past year or so?
Or have they at last realized that they need to co-exist peacefully for the sake of their daughter (pictued below and nothing more?
We sincerely hope it's the latter, considering the contentious relationship that's existed between Harley and Ortiz-Magro for several months now.
Going back to just after Ariana was born, the two went at it in very personal and very awkward fashion on social media; with Jen slammed Ronnie as a deadbeat dad and Ronnie agreeing that Jen was a cum dumpster.
He really did say this publicly just weeks after Harley gave birth to his child.
From there, things turned from oral to physical between the reality stars -- most notably when Jen dragged Ronnie down the street by her car.
She got arrested for this ridiculous action.
Still, the pair somehow continued with their romance even after this altercation, proving that love really is blind.
And possibly very dumb.
Just this past New Year's Eve, however, they got into another intense argument at a nightclub.
It ended when Harley threw a glass ashtray at Ronnie's face and then accused him of ransacking her apartment.
It appeared at the time that things were finally over between the lovers, and maybe they are.
As mentioned previously, maybe they are simply being responsible co-parents at this stage and not angry significant others.
Ronnie, for his part, really does seem to have made a significant change.
He opened up a couple months ago about a stint in rehab and how he is trying to turn his life all the way around.
“I couldn’t live hurting myself, basically having my daughter grow up and it’s eventually going to hurt her,” Ortiz-Magro told the aforementioned tabloid about his drinking and depression adding:
"I was sitting there blaming everything else; I was like the victim, and I’m not a victim to life. I’m blessed and I’m lucky enough that I have different options, different outlets."
We applaud Ronnie for coming to this conclusion and we wish him the best.
