All of Lori Loughlin and Missimo Giannulli's plans amounted to nothing, because Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose dropped out of college.
According to a new report, at first, Olivia just hoped that backlash over her parents' arrest would blow over. Clearly, it has not.
Now, that hope has turned to anger -- because this fraud scandal has completely derailed Olivia's career.
Us Weekly reports that Olivia Jade is "very upset" with her parents over this college fraud scandal.
"Olivia blames her mom and dad for this scandal," the insider shares.
That sounds pretty fair.
"And," the source adds, Olivia blames them "for the downfall of her career."
Well, it's no coincidence that she has been losing sponsors and partnerships left and right. It's all because of this scandal.
According to the insider, she "was initially trying to shrug off the scandal as something that would pass after a week and she could go back to her life."
A lot of scandals work that way. This one does not seem to.
As we previously reported, Olivia has been hemorrhaging partnerships, losing Sephora, TRESemmé, and HP.
Her clothing line on the online boutique Princess Polly was also shelved.
This isn't some hobby of Olivia's -- this is her career.
And it has all gone up in flames.
"Now that her endorsement deals have fallen through," the source says. "She is very upset with her parents."
"Olivia didn’t even show interest in going to college," the insider points out.
She has made that extremely clear in multiple videos.
"She wanted to take time and work on her beauty career," the source notes.
"But," the insider says. "Her parents were the ones who wanted her to get an education."
To some, it may sound like terrible priorities for Olivia to be mad at her parents when they may be on the verge of going to jail.
And many have already been tempted to view Olivia and Isabella as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory villains.
But let's look at this from her perspective.
She's a teenager who already has a career that lets her rake in a substantial amount of money.
People who've never once seen her mother act tune in.
Now picture this: while she was still a minor in high school, Olivia's parents decided that she should go to college.
We don't know how much the sisters actually knew about their parents' alleged scheme, just that they posed on rowing machines.
Clearly less than interested, she went along with what they wanted for her while still keeping up with her work as an Influencer.
But now her reputation and career are in shambles and she's losing sponsorships left and right.
We think that anyone would be outraged if thier parents' pushiness cost them their career.
Obviously, we don't know how much Olivia knew about the fraud scam, and we don't know when.
Minors who go along with their parents' crimes, particularly when they may not realize that they're breaking the law, is a complicated matter.
Now, there are a lot of people who are happy to hate people like Olivia Jade.
She's not only the rich daughter of rich people, but she already has a successful career as an Influencer.
Some are resentful, some are envious. This scandal embodies a lot of frustrations about how the rich play by different rules.
A lot of people don't like the concept of Influencers.
Let's be real -- we're all a little jealous of people who are just hot for a living.
But Olivia's career isn't necessarily in the toilet.
People who have never before heard of her are suddenly seeing her name and her face everywhere.
One day, Olivia could stage a comeback with more followers and therefore more influence than ever before.
