Folks, we probably don’t need to tell you that the internet is a brutal place — a place where, at any given time, tens of millions of strangers are cracking their knuckles in anticipation of telling you how much you suck.
No one knows that better than Khloe Kardashian, who might have thought she would receive a shred of compassion from her followers in the wake of the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal.
Obviously, she was wrong about that.
Khloe posted the above pic on her page this week, and her followers went absolutely bonkers in the comments.
Many felt that the photo had been retouched.
As evidence, they cited the sized of Khloe’s head in proportion to the rest of her body.
Many also felt that Khloe’s thighs had been unnaturally slimmed down and appeared to be out of proportion with the rest of her.
"Why does your head look too big?" wrote one commenter. "These pictures are kind of off."
"The head and body don’t match," another follower remarked, adding, "Outfit is still bomb tho."
A third wrote simply:
"DELETE THIS WITH YA BOBBLE HEADASS!"
Usually, Khloe is celebrated for her ability to laugh this sort of thing off and clap back at her harshest critics.
But it seems that this time around, the new mom just didn’t feel like doing battle with trolls.
In a virtually unprecedented move, Khloe disabled comments on the photo.
And her next post seemed to indicate that she was wounded by the harsh words from her followers.
Khloe posted the simple selfie above, and her caption seemed to be a reference to her previous post:
“I believe in you, your abilities, and you[r] heart!" she wrote.
"Stay positive about everything. Each one of us is simply trying to figure it all out.”
Obviously, Khloe is putting a positive spin on the situation, but it’s clear she was hurt by the cruel comments from some of her followers.
We know that trashing celebrities can often feel like "punching up," but when you’re one of 10,000 voices insulting an individual who hasn’t hurt anyone, you’re pretty much always in the wrong.
Plus, Khloe’s man cheated with her sister’s best friend just last month.
Cut the girl a little slack, huh?
