So if you haven’t heard, we regret to inform you that Nicki Minaj is dating a rapist.
Not only that, it seems that despite Kenneth Petty’s very sketchy past (which includes convictions for rape and manslaughter), Nicki is taking the relationship quite seriously.
There’s been talk of Minaj and Petty getting married, and far from squashing the rumors, Nicki has actually been adding fuel to the fire by publicly confirming that she believes Petty to be "the one."
Nicki most recently dated Meek Mill, and she’s been involved in other high profile romances, but she’s never been as vocal about any of the past loves as she is about Petty.
Lately, Nicki has been taking to social media to gush about Petty and fill fans in on her recent bedroom activities:
When one follower commented that the rapper is “probably getting d—k 6x a night,” Nicki gently corrected her, writing:
"3-4 on average. 6 is a bit much sis,” along with a laughing crying emoji.
Hey, we suppose that’s about normal for such a new relationship.
What’s a bit more surprising is the fact that Nicki apparently looked at Kenneth’s violent past and thought, Oh, sure, he’ll make a great dad!
When a fan offered to help Nicki pick out baby names, Minaj replied, “We already chose them babe. Lol but thx.”
Responding to speculation that she’s already pregnant, Nicki made it sound as though she’s not … but intends to be very soon:
“Nothing is getting in the way of the US TOUR boo boo.”
“Nicki has always wanted to become a mother, and that’s something she and Kenny have discussed,” an insider recently told Us Weekly, adding that she is “absolutely head over heels in love.”
“She fell hard and fast,” the source continued.
“She hasn’t smiled this much in a long time. She really believes that he has changed since his troublesome days, but some of her friends are still a bit wary,”
If you’re baffled as to why Nicki would fall so hard for a dude who sounds like a loser at best and a dangerous psychopath at worst, you’re certainly not alone.
Nicki addressed the confusion among her fans in a recent tweet, writing:
“Facts but we were like this about each other since we were very young kids in the hood.
"He was on my body b4 the big ol’ ghetto booty. B4 the fame & fortune," she added.
"Fought my bf cuz I wouldn’t be his girl. He was always a lil brazy. But anyway, timing is everything.”
We get that Nicki is trying to convey that Kenneth has been with her from the start.
But given the concerns about his temperament, maybe it’s not a great time to boast that he’s always been violent.
