Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are done courting, are now engaged, and just celebrated their joint bachelor(ette) party in Arkansas.
Might a secret wedding be right around the corner?
This rumor makes sense in context of recent events.
Normally, news of Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell's bachelor party wouldn't automatically make you think a wedding was nigh.
But this comes on the heels of Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth's nuptials, which were not only happened fast but largely in secret.
Not only that, Joy-Anna faked fans out with a wedding registry listing their "I do" date as her birthday this fall ... then got hitched in May.
Perhaps not coincidentally, Joe and Kendra’s wedding registry, which was oddly shared with fans, lists a wedding date of October 7, 2017.
While some quickly criticized the pair for what they felt was a shameless solicitation of gifts from fans, perhaps their agenda was different.
Might Joe and Kendra, who got engaged at Joy-Anna's wedding, expedite their wedding so that they can start married life a bit sooner?
“So then it would seem that the wedding is just around the corner,” one fan commented on the post the family made about their party.
“Normally people do a bachelor/bachelorette right before the wedding,” another said, noting similarities with his sister's recent wedding.
“They said the same thing about Joy’s wedding,” another card-carrying member of Duggar Nation observed on Instagram.
“That it wasn’t going to be until later, a longer engagement and they got married like 2 weeks after their bachelor/ette party."
"All of them have only been engaged 3-4 months max."
"They keep [the wedding] a secret to keep the public out of it. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see they get married in a week or two.”
That certainly worked for Joy-Anna and Austin, who also had a joint bachelor(ette) party - an idea Kendra Caldwell came up with.
Noting their mutual love for outdoor activities, Kendra suggested they go on a camping trip as a way to celebrate their wedding.
Before Joy and Austin got married, the two hung out frequently with Joe and Kendra, who are of similar age and also courting.
Caldwell was originally courting Jedediah before Joseph bumped him out of the picture, as we exclusively reported this spring.
You won't see that on Counting On.
The family's reality show (not to mention the couple's desire to progress beyond side hugs) may be the driving force behind all of this.
The faster Joe and Kendra get hitched, the less time the public has to catch on, and sooner the footage can air for the masses on TLC.
(Also, boning may commence.)
If they are getting married soon, that means a whole lot of wedding planning must take place in a short amount of time, but it's not impossible.
Joy and Austin managed to pull off a beautiful wedding in a similar time, with personal touches and virtually no one knowing about it.
Even with Joy-Anna's wedding invites going out ahead of time, the media was largely in the dark until after the vows were exchanged.
Are we in for an encore?
