Well, it sure sounds like Keeping Up With the Kardashians really is over.
... Like, over for real, not just over in the minds of anyone who's got one.
Sources close to production reveal to TMZ that the shop is closing its doors for the remainder of the year ... and it's not hard to guess why.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's troubles have caused producers to slam the brakes on the reality TV juggernaut, possibly for good.
According to the celebrity news site, production on the E! hit is shut down indefinitely, and may not restart until well into the new year.
"Possibly longer," is how TMZ put it, and to be quite honest, we're not the least bit surprised ... nor are we necessarily all that disappointed.
Not because we're heartless bastards; we are sad to see that Kim was robbed at gunpoint and Kayne had a breakdown and lost his marbles.
We were just kind of hoping that folks would come to their senses and realize, "OMG, I'm watching a show about absolutely nothing."
And not in a good-nothing way, like how Seinfeld was about nothing.
The sources close to TMZ report that Kim has been "rethinking everything" and yeah, we were wondering what that burning smell was, too.
The site also claims that production has enough footage to mock up a season, but the Christmas holidays were always one of the show's big selling points.
Now that the show is done for the holidays, it's unclear what the future holds for Kris Jenner and her massive family enterprise.
As for their most famous in-law, it was said that Kanye would be released from the hospital yesterday ... but that didn't happen.
Sources revealed that West had not recovered from his breakdown last week, and would remain in hospital custody "indefinitely."
Which means there's no set release date for Kanye West.
That sure doesn't sound promising, to say the absolute least, as far as the show's foreseeable future and its return to the air goes.
As far as Kanye's mental health, however?
It's been reported that Kim has remained by his side throughout the ordeal, but even Kanye's gonna get sick of Kim's ass all day every day eventually.
Get well, Kanye.
But for the love of all that's holy, keep Keeping Up With the Kardashians off the damn TV, okay? At least for a good couple of months?
It's not just about the viewers, here. Maybe that's what all y'all need as well - a good, solid break of nothing for a while.
Not the craziest idea.
DO YOU AGREE, THG READERS?
DO YOU THINK KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS OUGHT TO BE CANCELED IN LIGHT OF ALL THESE ISSUES?
OR SHOULD WE PERISH THAT THOUGHT AND COUNT DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL KIM AND KOMPANY ARE BACK ON THE SMALL SCREEN?
