Like any good athlete worth his weight in endorsements, LeBron James wants to keep his focus in the off-season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA Finals, and James intends to build a legacy with his Ohio team.
That includes making sure he and his teammates keep the funny business at bay.
The only issue is that James' 25-year-old teammate, Tristan Thompson has recently taken up with Khloe Kardashian, which is the kiss of death for any male, let alone a pro athlete.
“Whatever Tristan is doing with Khloe is not of any interest to LeBron," a source reportedly told Hollywood Life.
"He is focused on repeating as champs and is confident that Tristan will be ready to play and contribute to the team in about a month when the season begins.”
Last week, a source confirmed to People Magazine that Kardashian and Thompson were casually dating one another, after they were spotted in Cabo San Lucas together over Labor Day weekend.
They were most recently spotted getting close at the Drake concert in Los Angeles.
"They were PDA-ish but not overboard," a source at the concert told E!
"Laughing together a ton and having a super good time."
It's new, but things seem to be going well.
"Khloé and Tristan have been seeing each other for a little bit," the source told People.
"He's a really nice, good guy and she seems very happy with him."
It's too early to determine how the relationship is progressing, but so far so good.
"It's unclear for now if it's going to turn [into] anything super serious, but for now they're having a good time together."
James is said to be displeased with the attention, and knows exactly where this charade is headed.
“LeBron is not going to take any nonsense and if Tristan starts focusing on being on TV and being a celebrity while dating Khloe, then that is where the problems will come," the source claimed.
"LeBron wants everyone to be ready to repeat as champs and bring another title to Cleveland!"
Kardashian has a rather spotty history with NBA players.
Her estranged husband, Lamar Odom's career went into a downward spiral after he was released from the LA Lakers, and then the Dallas Mavericks.
Odom came back to Clippers, but his drug use spiraled out of control, to the point where he overdosed at a Nevada brothel in October 2015.
Kardashian filed for divorce a second time from Odom back in May.
When she dated Houston Rockets star James Harden, 26, his team then suffered a slightly rotten season.
James doesn't see these as coincidences, but rather a pattern that he does not want happening to his teammate.
