Jinger Duggar's soon-to-be fiance Jeremy Vuolo has already met her (huge!) famous family, as you know if you watch Counting On online.
Now it's time for a little role reversal!
The script was flipped on Counting On Season 3 Episode 4, with Jinger and Jeremy venturing down to Laredo, Tex., where he's based.
Exciting ... and nerve-wrecking!
His parents flew into town for Jinger's first trip to Laredo, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar accompanied their daughter from Arkansas.
Yeah. High stakes, right?!
Jim Bob clearly has some reservations about this whole thing, but for once in his life, he may have met his match in the young minister.
From the moment she arrived, it was clear how smitten she and Jeremy are, and how the couple's courtship is going to be fast-tracked ...
At Jeremy's apartment - stop number one on their tour of Laredo - it was Vuolo's "massive bed" that immediately caught Jinger's eye.
If you know what we mean!!
By Duggar standards, this was downright NC-17 ... as was the full-on, hardcore snuggling on the couch that they did in front of her parents.
Asked about it by producers, Jinger said, "Jeremy and I have our own set of rules for the courtship, and our own standards that we desire."
Jeremy similarly implied that he was planning on marrying her, and they are on the same page, so he should be allowed to touch her.
The next day, Jeremy took everyone downtown, where he talked about all the local restaurants and architecture, and Jinger just stared.
At him, not the local restaurants and architecture.
Bizarrely, Jim Bob suggested they check out a local pawn shop, allegedly because in Arkansas they carry musical instruments, not jewelry.
It was engagement rings that he noticed here, though, and not surprisingly, given the gravity of the situation and what brought them there.
"Don't get any ideas now," he told Jinger.
Jim Bob later told the cameras, "I didn't want them trying on ring sizes or anything at this point," and soon enough, he implicitly said why.
Aside from Jim Bob urging Jeremy Vuolo to leave Texas, the Duggar patriarch called attention to what he called a "modest pastor salary."
He even suggested he get a second job.
"It's kind of like you're on the gas pedal, and I'm on the break pedal. You're still getting to know each other. You're at two months," Jim Bob said.
Of the couple's courtship and the way it appears to be progressing, he added, "I just don't think they're at the place to swap spit yet."
He may not have a choice in the matter.
When Jeremy gave Jinger a tour of his church - basically a beat up, broken down house at the edge of town - her reaction was everything:
Home, as they say, is where the heart is.
"I love it. It's amazing," she said.
"I can't wait to join in on it."
Not surprisingly, Jeremy's parents gave them their blessing, saying they had "every confidence" that "Jinger is the gift" they had prayed for.
Wow. Jim Bob? Well, he isn't quite there yet.
Elsewhere, Jeremiah, Jedediah, and Joy-Anna Duggar were all graduating from the Duggar Academy - seriously, they made real diplomas.
Jill and Derick Dillard were busy with their ministry efforts abroad, John David Duggar took aspiring pilot Joy on her very own flying lesson.
"I think Joy has what it takes," he said later.
"It's just a matter of if she's willing to do it."
Based on Joy's reaction to the turbulence, that's still up for debate, but as long as it gets Joy on camera more this season, we're all for it.
