Well... that was awkward.
Host Steve Harvey helped crown Miss Universe 2015 on Sunday night, but not before he accidentally announced the wrong winner of Miss Universe 2015.
Talk about a major OOPS!
Toward the very end of the competition, Harvey told Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, that she had come out on top.
This prompted cheers from the crowd and tears to flow from her eye sockets when she was given her crown and sash and bouquet of flowers and everything.
But ... then Harvey actually came out and said Gutierrez was the first runner-up, not the first-place finisher.
He admitted to a "horrible mistake" and said Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was actually the winner.
In response, Miss Philippines actually went over and removed the crown from the head of a stunned Gutierrez.
Seriously, you gotta watch this:
"I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible," Harvey Tweeted after the event ended.
In September, of course, Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump announced that he had bought out NBC and now owns all of the Miss Universe Organization.
This news came three months after the network dropped the Miss USA pageant due to Trump's controversial comments about Mexicans and Latinos.
So it looks like controversy simply follows Trump around everywhere, even when he keeps his mouth shut.
Congratulations to Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach!
