Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. married 13 years ago this week, and the actress has marked the occasion in touching fashion.
Posting a photo on Instagram of herself and Prinze, 39, at their wedding, Gellar, 38, included a quote that sums up their love story magically.
"I love you not only for what you are," reads the caption to the above throwback picture, "but for what I am when I am with you.
"I love you not only for what you have made of yourself," Gellar adds of her spouse, "but for what you are making of me."
The classic, touching quote is most often attributed to the poet Roy Croft, but it says a lot about Gellar’s feelings for Prinze.
One of the longer-lived ’90s "it" couples, or celebrity couples in general after this summer of splits, it’s good to see them going strong.
Gellar and Prinze met on the set of the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer, began dating in 2000, and wed in 2002.
They have two children, Charlotte Grace, 5, and Rocky James, 2.
