Despite being one of the most hated celebrities out there, and despite her history of N-Word usage, Paula Deen has been tapped to get her Dancing with the Stars groove on this fall.
The former Food Network star turned down the offer to tango on television last year because it was “not the appropriate forum for her,” an insider tells Us Weekly.
Now, however, that same tabloid confirms that Deen will join previously-announced Season 21 contestants such as Nick Carter, Victor Espinoza and Bindi Irwin.
In 2013, the 68-year old cook stirred up major controversy after she admitted to using racial epithets during a videotaped deposition.
The Food Network dropped her series, Paula’s Best Dishes, and she lost multiple endorsement deals.
Then, two years later, Deen fired her social media manager after a photo went viral of her posing like Lucille Ball and her son, Bobby, sporting brownface.
