I Am Cait Season 1 Episode 5 saw Caitlyn Jenner attend a Pride event in New York, and elsewhere, confide in an unexpected source for advice.
Who was her confidant, and what was the topic at hand?

At the onset of I Am Cait Season 1 Episode 5, Cait’s role in the LGBT community – and her privilege, wealth and surgeries – again touched off debate.
She is the most visible transgender person alive, yes, but friends Candis Cayne and Jen Richards note that she’s also distant from a lot of the community.
To fix that, Candis wants Caitlyn Jenner to attend New York’s Gay Pride celebration, becoming one with the people she instantly became an icon for.
The girls discuss the “us versus them” mentality in regards to sexuality and gender identity, and how they need to focus on the "we." A good lesson.
Despite worrying that attending the event will become a "circus," Cait proves she’s more than up to the task as she ends up having a blast there.
Heck, the 65-year-old even channeled her inner Kendall Jenner!

Ironically, despite the aforementioned issues, she’s been less apprehensive about meeting new trans folks than her straight male friends.
If you watch I Am Cait online, you know her transgender life has been the focal point so far, for good reason. But what about her "old" life as Bruce?
Who better to share that perspective than … Scott Disick.
“Hello, sexy lady,” he says, greeting Caitlyn with a hug.
It’s not clear when this was filmed (most likely pre-Kourtney dumping Scott for cheating and abandoning her), but what’s very clear is this:
Disick accepted Caitlyn with love and without hesitation.
“It’s so great to see you, as you. You look great, you seem happy, that’s all that matters,” Scott says, though he can’t say the same for everyone.

Scott notes with total honesty that he is 100 percent supportive of Caitlyn’s transition, but he doesn’t think that everyone in his position would be.
We then found this out in striking detail.
The two recall the idiotic comment from Kim Kardashian’s former spouse during then-Bruce’s ABC interview, as Caitlyn Jenner slams Kris Humphries.
Far more significantly than that has-been, Caitlyn’s friend Sergio bails on their plans to get together without explanation, visibly hurting Ms. Jenner.
Rather than wallowing in despair, she goes to confront him, and it was awkward to say the least. But Sergio appeared to accept her in the end.
At least he was trying – no small feat for the first trans person he’d ever seen. He seems like he was, catching himself using the wrong pronoun.
Progress.
