Teresa Giudice has been locked up for six months now, and fans are still dying to know how the troubled Housewife is faring behind bars.

Sure, Teresa has tweeted from behind and thanked fans for their support.

And yes, the first photos of Teresa in prison showed her looking surprisingly happy and healthy, but until today, we knew very little about the 43-year-old’s day-to-day life at Danbury Correctional.

Now, Us Weekly has published excerpts from Teresa’s prison diary, which she plans to turn into a memoir as soon as she’s finished serving her time.

Tre will no doubt pull in big books for the book once she’s a free woman again (and she’ll need it, as she’s currently making 12 cents an hour in the prison laundry room), but for now, she’s offering up a slice of prison life for free.

Check out the excerpts below for a glimpse at the routines of an average inmate through the eyes of Jersey’s most famous (and infamous) Housewife:

January 26, Day 21:

I went to lunch at 10:20. I had tater tots, a soy burger that was so gross and orange! I also had some potato salad. They feed us so much here. I’m going to have potatoes coming out of my ears pretty soon!

February, Undated:

There is a lady in here, she hit her roommate. The officers are up here now to evaluate the situation. She is a crazy lady who fights with everyone.

March 16, Day 70:

I got an email from Gia. She got an award for perseverance. I started crying at the computer. I was so happy for her, and saying to myself, “That is my daughter.”

Okay, so the Shawshank Redemption it ain’t, but hopefully Teresa’s saving the really good stuff for her the final edition.

Pick up the new issue of Us Weekly for more stirring tales of orange burgers, and watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online to remind yourself of how good Queen T used to have it.
