In a string of seriously irate tweets yesterday, Nicki Minaj set the record straight on two things:
- The rumors that she broke up with Meek Mill are bogus.
- She really, really doesn’t like Safaree Samuels.
Nicki dumped Safaree in October of last year after 12 years (!) of dating. Ms. Minaj played it cool and never spoke publicly about the breakup.
Unfortunately, Safaree remains more than just a tad bitter almost eight months later, and he’s been venting his frustration to anyone who will listen.
Yesterday, Samuels went nuclear by releasing a Nicki diss track in which he accuses the hip hop queen of cheating on him, popping pills, using him to help her career…the list goes on.
Never one to shy away from a conflict, Nicki responded by going off on Twitter:
"Don’t make me do this," Nicki began. "Lesson: Don’t ever cheat on a loyal woman. God will punish u. When he does, tell people the truth. The truth may set us free.
"Took a person with me to fame & fortune. These dudes leave their girl in the hood. Tell people the truth or you will be doomed."
Wow. Doomed! Nicki certainly isn’t playing around, but she does end on a positive note.
"Enough with the pity party. Just live your life…Don’t hate u. Will always love u. I forgive u. It’s time to move on."
She added, "And just for the record, I’m in love with Meek."
Yeah, Safaree, it sounds like it’s time to move on. And we don’t mean to a rap career of your own. We heard you spit yesterday, bruh. It wasn’t good.
