Kristin Cavallari can thank MTV's Laguna Beach for the fact that we even know who Kristin Cavallari is, but that doesn't mean she has to like it.
In a new interview with Elle, the pregnant Kristin Cavallari (she's expecting her third!) once again disses her reality series that made her a star.
“No one knew what the show was going to become, obviously,” she explains. “I had envisioned it being like…do you remember True Life on MTV?"
"I thought it was going to be like that," the 28-year-old confesses.
"None of us knew it was going to be turned into a soap opera.”
Kristin makes a point, as her defining storyline from the show was easily the most soap opera-esque of all the Laguna Beach cast members.
She was plotted in a love triangle with her real boyfriend, Stephen Colletti, and his friend, Lauren Conrad. "It was tough for me," she says.
“I also didn’t realize the love triangle was going on,” she admits. “Stephen was my real boyfriend, so that was really difficult for me to watch."
"Even though a lot of it was manipulated for the show, it’s still hard to see your boyfriend hanging out with a girl that he probably normally wouldn’t."
That was then and this is now, though.
Kristin’s lifestyle book, Balancing In Heels, is set to be released in 2016, and will feature topics such as parenting, marriage, health and business.
The better half of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler says, “I sort of have stepped out of the public eye and it’s been really refreshing."
“I was a little nervous at first, to be honest."
"It’s sort of always been engrained in me that if you want to be in the entertainment business, you either have to be in L.A. or New York."
"And so when I married Jay, I officially moved to Chicago. I was a little scared. I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted to do with my career."
Fortunately for the former reality TV star, "everything has sort of fallen into place with the shoes, especially, the jewelry, and now this book.”
You know, and those adorable kids.
