Josh Duggar's molestation scandal is a "sin" no different than Bruce Jenner's transition to Caitlyn Jenner, according to the Duggar family's pastor.
Previously, we heard from Duggar pastor Ronnie Floyd, who heads the five-branch Pinnacle Cross Church in the family's native Arkansas.
He spoke about the community's reaction to Josh's alleged crimes, saying his "evangelical Christian ministry is alive and well" despite the scandal.
"All of us were surprised by the news," Ronnie acknowledged.
Given that "their reputation in Arkansas is that they are a very Christian family," he was certainly not alone in his complete and utter shock.
He added, "Things like [the scandal] have happened before and will happen again," tragically, because of the frailty of the human condition.
Walking a fine line in calling out Josh's heinous behavior, he praised a God who he says can and does forgive even gravest of human sins.
"Everyone does wrong, and what was wrong was very wrong as to what was testified to and it's completely unacceptable," Floyd stated.
However, the minister noted that "I'm thankful, whether it's him or any other one else, that I serve a God who can forgive everything."
Even Bruce Jenner as a woman, as a matter of fact.
Just this past Sunday, one day before Bruce Jenner ceased to be Bruce Jenner and went public as Caitlyn Jenner, Floyd discussed him in church:
"You dads, make sure you raise your sons around men who are manly. What's remarkable about this is the world is applauding ... Gender is not fluid.''
He added that "all humans be treated with dignity and respect'' whatever their sins, and "Bruce Jenner is no different from all of us. We are all sinners."
"The key is cleansing our sins through Christ's grace."
So basically, in his mind, Bruce being born transgendered and undergoing a sex change to live as the person he has always been inside is a "sin."
Just like Josh Duggar molesting his own sisters and being investigated by police, or Jim Bob covering it up and allegedly lying about it for a decade.
Pretty astonishing thing to say, really, given that Caitlyn Jenner committed no crime and hurt absolutely no one with the brave decisions she made.
Being born with a Y-chromosome despite always feeling female and fondling underage girls while they sleep just seem like two different things to us.
