In recent weeks, it began to seem as though the worst of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal was over.
Josh's parents and two of his victims broke their silence in interviews with Fox News' Megyn Kelly, and in the surest sign yet that the Duggars are doing their best to put the ugliness of recent weeks behind them, Jill and Jessa Duggar were spotted in public for the first time since the world learned of their family's dark secret.
It now looks as though it may not be as easy for the Duggars to move on and reclaim their place as reality TV's favorite family as their fans had hoped.
Earlier today, we reported that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are still under investigation by local police in Tontitown, Arkansas.
Now, Radar Online is reporting that Josh and Jim Bob allegedly lied under oath during the course of a 2013 civil suit.
It seems that Josh and Jim Bob are the co-owners of a used car dealership, and together, they filed suit against an insurance company for a deal gone wrong.
Court documents show that Jim Bob and Josh were both asked about any prior arrests or police investigations in which they were involved.
Both men answered all such questions with, “The Plaintiffs state that no such records exist."
The case is already settled, and Josh and Jim Bob are unlikely to face any legal consequences for their false statements, but this latest allegation serves as yet another indication that there may be more skeletons in the Duggar's closet than we initially thought.
