It’s all over for Hart of Dixie, which is officially dead and buried.
Weeks after airing a season finale that most presumed would be a series finale, Hart of Dixie was finally given the actual network axe today by The CW.
One of the few CW shows to NOT focus on the supernatural these days, Hart of Dixie centered on Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart.
A New York native, she took to a small town in Alabama.
Bluebell boasted lovable residents as Scott Porter’s lawyer, George; Wilson Bethel’s bartender, Wade; and Jaime King’s southern bell, Lemon.
For those reasons, Hart of Dixie enjoyed a loyal fan base, but low actual ratings that never failed to grow and ultimately led to the show’s demise.
Earlier this week, The CW renewed iZombie for Season 2.
Meanwhile, it had already given the green light to new seasons of Arrow, The Flash, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries and Beauty and the Beast.
In related news… apparently Beauty and the Beast is still a show that’s on television. You learn something every day in this business!
