Dancing with the Stars Season 20 came down to a clash of two titans, Rumer Willis and Riker Lynch. But there can be only one Mirror Ball winner.
Those two young celebrities, along with inspirational veteran Noah Galloway, gave it their all Monday on part one of the Dancing with the Stars finals.
Before we got around to crowning the winner, there was a pivotal final competitive dance, the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge. And a lot of filler.
Noah and Sharna Burgess are first up to perform the dance, which earns nines across the board from Carrie Ann, Len, Julianne, and Bruno.
The judges praise them. "You've really been a beacon of inspiration for us all," judge Tonioli tells Noah. "You are legend." Their score is 36.
As expected, Riker and Allison Holker perform next and do even better, scoring a perfect 40 for an also-perfect two-day total of 120 points.
Can Rumer and Val Chmerkovskiy answer the bell? You know it. Inaba raves, "You are just the real deal" and their scores of 40/120 prove it.
Finally, we get to the eliminations and as expected, Noah and Sharna finish third. "I made it to third place. I'm so happy about it," Noah says.
"I loved every minute of it."
So it's Rumer vs. Riker.
When the dust settles, the votes are tabulated and the confetti and glitter piled up, Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy are the winners of DWTS!
It's Val's first win. Rumer's friends and family members are so very happy. Where does she rank among the show's best-ever champions?!
