On The Flash Season 1 Episode 20, some valuable knowledge was finally dropped, while our hero sparked something in Iris.

In the end, however, viewers were left to wonder: did the S.T.A.R. Labs team set a successful trap? Or one with a “reverse” effect?

For starters, this installment was full of winning quips, comments and one-liners; such as Cisco waving a white flag upon seeing Gideon’s futuristic OS. Or his miming of the Temple of Doom heart-ripping scene

You can’t really ever lose with a well-placed mazel tov? either.

The reading of the 2024 news story was quite entertaining, as a freeze-framing revealed all the super friends who were on hand for the epic battle.

Also, Gideon clued us into the major promotion that awaits Barry at the Central City Police Department.

It was fascinating to watch Barry’s self-proclaimed “very bad idea” to coax a confession from Wells, most notably because Cisco drooped bits of information (Thawne?!?) in his dream state.

Some twist had to be coming… and then “Wells” passed through the speedster barrie Cisco had made. He then took a bullet and died before he could confess.

Or did he?!?

Turns out, this wasn’t Wells at all. He subbed in last week’s shapeshifter, a development you should watch The Flash online to fully understand. It was a wildly fun curveball, as Wells warned the group that he will always be a step ahead.

Oh, and he WILL kill Barry someday.

Iris, meanwhile, was looking into the Flash and his fellow freaks when she realized that the fun all got underway the night of the lab explosion.

We went on to learn the true reason Joe wouldn’t bless his colleague’s proposal, while Reverse-Flash crashed the question-popping moment and whisked away Iris, his “kinsurance,” knowing that Iris ultimately marries (and hyphenates her name with) Barry.

One must keep that timeline intact, right?

It’s safe to say we cannot wait to see where this all goes on The Flash Season 1 Episode 21.
