Nina Dobrev's role on The Vampire Diaries has come to an end now that they have shot her final scene.
Some say Dobrev quit The Vampire Diaries because of her break up with Ian Somerhalder.
But she wasn’t crying while shooting with her ex-boyfriend. In fact, it looks like she was having a good time.
On a Friday Instagram post, she captioned a photo with "#FBF to last week with @IanSomerhalder shooting our final 'Damon and Elena' scene."
Nina and Ian dated for three years, but called it quits in May 2013.
Dobrev rebounded with Dancing With the Stars’ Derek Hough, while her ex-boyfriend began dating Twilight’s Nikki Reed.
Things got serious between Ian and Nikki. After six months of dating, they were engaged.
And just in time for Dobrev's departure from the show, Somerhalder and Reed exchanged vows in over the weekend in Santa Monica.
When Nina announced on April 6 she was leaving The Vampire Diaries, rumors circulated that she was quitting because she is heartbroken over Ian and Nikki's relationship.
Dobrev claims otherwise though. She states, ”I always knew I wanted Elena's story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime.”
"I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger. I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there's still so much more to come before the season finale in May,” she adds.
To her devoted and devastated fans she says, "I love you all. Fasten your seat belts. If you think you know what's coming, you don't."
