According to Bravo insiders, the network is proceeding with plans to re-cast The Real Housewives of New Jersey, with Teresa Giudice out of the picture obviously.

Reports that the network may be replacing Teresa Giudice, who’s locked up in prison until early next year and likely unable to film well beyond that, aren’t new.

Producers are said to be focused in on seven specific women, though:

Among them? Shot-callers have interviewed Sebastian Bach’s former wife, Maria Bierk, and former NFL star Tiki Barber’s spouse, Traci Lynn Johnson.

Another potential new cast member reportedly under consideration is Hala Kerik, wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik.

“Bravo has a list of seven names,” an insider said, noting that Traci Lynn Barber was a huge target, but that she and Tiki have already shot it down.

“It just wasn’t going to make sense for Tiki and Tracy to do the show, [however] Sebastian’s ex-wife Maria is extremely interested in joining the show.”

In any case, insiders claim that “Shooting will likely begin at the end of May, or beginning of June" and "at least two new cast members will be added.”

“Cast members, including Melissa Gorga and Amber Marchese, have given producers names of their friends that would be interested in joining the show."

With Teresa Giudice stuck in prison, “this is the chance for the show to go in a different direction … no more table flipping, or fighting with siblings.”

Dina Manzo has previously said she has no interest in another season, and twins Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea might not be asked back.

“If the twins are not coming back, there could be as many as four new ladies added to the cast,” the insider said, and Bravo just might prefer that.

The goal is reportedly to turn the New Jersey brand into more of an East Coast Beverly Hills, with bigger names and more glamor … and less table flipping.

We sort of understand … but come on, a classic is a classic:
