Once Upon a Time Season 4 Episode 13 Recap: Darkness Falls

Let there be... dark.

Following far too many months off the air, Once Upon a Time Season 4 Episode 13 finally aired on Sunday night, introducing viewers to two brand new villains and one returning baddie.

Also, we witnessed a sad Rumplestiltskin eating Ramen noodles.

The crux of the house, of course, involved meeting the three Queens of Darkness: Maleficent, Ursula, and Cruella Feinberg de Vil, the latter of whom had been living as Cruella Feinberg while married to a crooked Wall Street executive who left her broke.

As a result, all she had to her name was her iconic Panther motor car.

To get Cruella and Ursula into Storybrooke, Rumple posted as an Oxford linguistics professor who simply wanted to translate an incantation for a random librarian in Maine.

This fed Belle a spell that helped Regina free the fairies from the Sorcer’s Hat and also let loose Chernabog.

Ursula then paid her old friend Regina a visit, saying she hoped to find redemption in town and offering up information on how to defeat Chernabog because she did so long ago.

At this, Regina and Emma used the Frozen scroll to let the sorceresses across the town border.

Cruella then tossed the scroll back to Rumple and - bam! - was was able to stroll back into town. That sure was easy.

As you'll see when you watch Once Upon a Time online, Rumple explained to Cruella and Ursula that Chernabog was searching for the heart with the greatest potential for darkness. No, not that of Regina.

He was chasing Emma Swan!

To close the hour, Cruella and Ursula met with Snow and David. Turns out, they all knew each other from a past encounter in the Enchanted Forest. And it turns out the Queens know a MAJOR secret about the Charmings.

If Emma ever sniffs a whiff of it, Snow said she would rip their hearts out.

Cue the suspensful music and also your best guesses: What is the couple hiding?!?

NOTE: Tune in on Sunday, March 8 for Once Upon a Time Season 4 Episode 14, "Unforgiven."
