The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burruss' mother-in-law, Sharon Tucker, has passed away in New York City, according to the reality star.
Sharon passed away Tuesday afternoon. The mother of Kandi's husband, Todd Tucker, had suffered a severe stroke one day earlier, and never recovered.
Todd immediately flew from Atlanta to New York after getting the news about his mother's stroke, according to sources close to Kandi and her husband.
She slipped into a coma overnight while hospitalized after the stroke.
Sharon, or "Miss Sharon" as fans knew her, frequently appeared on the Bravo show, as you know if you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online.
Both Kandi and Todd were by her side when Miss Sharon died.
Todd recently put out a statement on his mother via Instagram:
“Today I lost my partner, my ride or die, my best friend! I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son!
"It was me and her against the world! She’s in a better place!!
"Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!”
Clearly, he's lost his rock. So tragic.
R.I.P. Miss Sharon, and our condolences to Todd, Kandi and his daughter Kaela during what must be an incredibly difficult time for the whole family.
