It is all over for Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy.

The actress and the Muse frontman had been together for four years and engaged for three years, though Hudson’s rep tells People that the pair have been “separated for some time now,” adding:

“Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”

Hudson and Bellamy welcomed a son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, into the world in July of 2011.

He’s nicknamed “Bing” and the blonde beauty has said that her other son, Ryder is incredibly patient with her younger “fireball.”

Bellamy, meanwhile, asked for Hudson’s hand in marriage in April of 2011.

“My parents aren’t married,” Hudson told Women’s Health this fall of her long engagement. “And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn’t feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed.”

Hudson added that marriage, to her, is “not a golden ticket” to happiness perhaps because she divorced Ryder’s dad, Chris Robinson, in 2006 after six years as husband and wife.

We wish both halves of this now-former couple nothing but the best as they move forward.
