Nikki Ferrell Confirms Juan Pablo Galavis Split: What a Waste of My Life!

Nikki Ferrell is opening up about her breakup from Juan Pablo Galavis, confirming that the couple did in fact break up around her birthday last month.

Good riddance, too, to hear The Bachelor winner, 28, tell it.

As reported earlier, Nikki Ferrell and Juan Pablo Galavis split over her birthday weekend, and she says the breakup "played out over a couple of days."

"We were going back and forth through texting," she says.

"He was questioning the relationship and I was questioning it back. I sent him a message saying, ‘We should fight for this. We should work this out.'"

And in typical fashion, "he just didn't respond."

That's when she raged on Instagram.

Making it clear who dumped who, she vented, "Isn't it pathetic how we waste so much time on people and in the end they prove that they weren't even worth a second of it."

She then captioned, "Nope not one single second."

"In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done that. I'm a tad bit impulsive," she says, confessing that she also blocked Juan Pablo from her Twitter account.

"I even deleted him from my phone!"

The two did reconnect to discuss their issues later, and Ferrell says that at that point, there was no big fight or even a heated argument. Just a realization.

"We both knew we were wasting each other's time. The relationship wasn't making us happy anymore," she says. "We were both like, ‘No, just no.'"

As for rumors that Juan Pablo was just using her for fame, she didn't get into that, but she did say that the long distance factor was a big deal for both.

With Juan Pablo based in Miami and Nikki in Kansas City, neither wanted to relocate or - as you know if you watch Couples Therapy online - to put their love first.

While she tells Life & Style that Juan Pablo is a "caring person," she admits "we weren't willing to make the sacrifices or compromises to make it work."

"Who knows what the future holds," she says, implying they really are on amicable terms, "but at this point in our lives, it's not working for either one of us."

We just wonder what took her so long to realize what most of us knew after watching a reality show nine months ago, but better late than never, right?
