Over the past few days, we’ve heard from a number of people in regard to the Kim Kardashian nude pictures that appear in the winter issue of Paper Magazine.
But now the cover girl herself is speaking out about the scandalous shoot, which has drawn the ire of those who can’t believe a mother would put her naked body on display in this manner.
Kim reasons in an interview with Australian TV show The Project:

“I was so honored and excited to work with [photographer Jean-Paul Goude] because he is a legend, and for me that was something I wanted to do to make myself feel confident.”
Kardashian then went on to prove that she has no idea what the term role model actually means.
“As a role model, I’m not saying anyone else should do that, but for me it was an art project and it taught me to do what you want to do,” she said.
We’ve read that sentence like 72 times and we can’t figure out what any of it means. Anyway, see the Internet breaking Kim photos in question after the jump …

As a result of her birthday suit pictorial, the Kim Kardashian sex tape sky-rocketed in popularity once again last week, causing it to become the best-selling celebrity sex tape of all-time.
But that’s not why Kim agreed to the shoot.
“I’m never one to preach, but I felt really positive and really good about myself. I love the photos, I did it for me, I hope other people like them,” she said.
Men certainly like them. A LOT. (Because they feature Kim Kardashian naked.)
Host Rove McManus, meanwhile, asked Kim the most pressing question of all: “Can you actually balance a champagne glass on your derriere, or was it all Photoshopped?”
Kardashian laughed and said her “back hurt for about a week after that shoot” and then tried to show McManus how it’s done, leading to this photo:
