19 Kids and Counting cast member Jinger Duggar garnered a good deal of attention by serving as big sister Jessa Duggar’s maid of honor at her wedding.

Many fans have speculated that with Jill and Jessa Duggar married this year, 20-year-old Jinger might be next in line for “courting” and marriage.

Meanwhile, a group of online critics want to “free” her from her famous family.

Yes, Jessa and Jill Duggar have finally left the Duggar nest to start families of their own (expect Ben Seewald to get Jessa pregnant any day now).

Jinger and older sister Jana Duggar, 23, remain under the family’s very large Arkansas roof, however, and that roof is one tightly controlled environment.

A group of concerned fans has joined together online in the hopes of convincing Jana to break free of her family and chart her own course in life.

Now they are encouraging spitfire Jinger to leave too, and without a ring.

The “Free Jinger” movement has been going on before Jill and Jessa got engaged, but has intensified as the two Duggar girls have gotten hitched.

With Jana reportedly not allowed to date and forced to take care of her (many) younger siblings, it would seem that Jinger might be married off next.

To a Jim Bob-approved suitor, of course. The patriarch controls it all.

Jinger doesn’t appear to have any potential guys waiting in the wings yet, though, and some fans feel that might be a good thing – as in her ticket out.

If you watch 19 Kids and Counting online, you know that she’s something of a free spirit, to the extent that one can be such a thing in that household.

While you’d expect her to drink the family Kool-Aid, she seems self-aware enough to poke fun at the family’s antics and hold her own with the parents.

If anyone were going to be the first true Duggar rebel, it would be Jinger that best fits the description, even if Jana is older and more put upon.

Can she do it? Does she want to do it? Only time will tell …
