Britney Spears’ ex-boyfriend David Lucado wants desperately to contact her, but he’s going to have to get past the venerable brick wall known as Mr. Jamie Spears.
The 32-year-old has been under conservatorship of her father since her 2007-08 mental breakdown. Jamie’s widely credited with saving her career, even life.
When Jamie Spears bought the video of Lucado cheating on Britney from an unknown source, he proved yet again the lengths he’ll go to protect his daughter.
David’s fighting an uphill battle, in other words.
As soon as word of David Lucado cheating on Britney leaked, his rep put out a statement saying he’s in love with her and he hopes this can all work out.
Didn’t happen. Brit dumped him immediately, blasted her single status on social media more than once and put her team on notice that he’s been 86’d.
Lucado, according to reports, is telling his friends (what he has left) that he and the pop megastar were not “100 percent together” a few weeks ago.
“We were on a break!” Ross Gellar exclaims.
Together or not, he was dancing and making out with a girl and it was caught on video, which was shopped around, purchased by Jamie for a premium.
Team Spears says that in the wake of the scandal, he’s no longer welcome at her concerts in Las Vegas, her residences there or in California, or even on her phone.
He’s been blocked, everywhere he turns.
Lucado says he’s been stonewalled by her camp but Britney never talked to him personally, and believes he actually can sort this out if he can just reach her.
Good luck with that, D.
