Feeling estranged from his family, Rob Kardashian reached out to a former family member this week.
According to The Daily Mail, the reality star – who actually bailed on his sister’s wedding Saturday morning – tried to get in touch with Lamar Odom, his former best pal who is legally still married to Khloe Kardashian.
“Rob really misses Lamar, he was like a big brother to him,” a source tells the newspaper. “Lamar really helped Rob with his problems when it came to wanting to lose weight and they’ve never lost touch.”
It’s unclear whether or not Rob spoke to Lamar and/or what was said between the two if so.
But tension between family members has clearly put a stain on what we meant to be a memorable occasion.
At least one report alleges Rob mocked the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding as a bunch of “superficial bullshit” after Kim insisted the family get all dressed up for their trip from Paris to Florence.
Rob feels insecure about his weight these days and did not want to bring extra attention to himself.
Words were supposedly exchanged. Insults were hurled. And Rob made good on his threat to simply go back to Los Angeles in order to “make things easier” for the bride.
“Khloe’s hurt the most because she wanted her brother to be there, enjoying this special moment with Kim and Kanye and with the entire family,” a source tells Hollywood Life. “[She] was crying herself – trying to convince Rob to stay.”
Alas, she failed. But, in an ironic twist, perhaps the man she kicked out can succeed in elevating Rob’s spirits.
