Katy Perry is no match for Miley or Gaga in the bizarre lifestyle department, but while she may seem tame in comparison, the “Dark Horse” singer is making some unusual choices in the wake of her breakup with John Mayer.
First, Katy dated Riff Raff for a short period (we’re assuming her relationship with the sleazy rapper is over) and now she’s made good on a promise to color her hair “slime green.”
A few weeks late for St. Patrick’s Day, Katy posted the above photo to Instagram asking for fan reactions. We’re of the opinion that Katy could give herself a purple mohawk and still look good, but that doesn’t mean changing up her signature brunette style was a good decision.
In an era of pop stars crying out for attention, Katy always seemed above the desperation. Sure she engages in some onstage theatrics and hardcore serial dating, but part of Katy’s appeal is that she seems a bit more down to earth than the Ke$has and Taylors of the world. We hope that’s not beginning to change.
Again, Katy looks fine in the pic, but we’ll offer a tip to any fans looking to emulate her style: generally if something has “slime” in the description, you should probably avoid smearing it in your hair.
