The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 16 finished off the series’ fourth season in dramatic fashion Sunday, with the gang trapped in a train car inside Terminus.

Whatever that is. It sure is creepy.

While it’s still unclear what this mysterious location is, we have a pretty good idea after a number of clues were dropped on the Season 4 finale.

The Walking Dead spoilers ahead …

Amid flashbacks to simpler times (watch The Walking Dead online to catch up on all past seasons) Rick, Michonne and Carl were on their way to Terminus.

Then the violent gang Daryl joined attacked them, seeking vengeance against Rick … who ended up biting Joe’s throat out with his teeth. Good times.

He then repeatedly stabbed the guy who attacked Carl, officially laying to rest the mellow, farmer Rick we once knew, or might have known again.

Breaking Bad much, Rick?

Eventually, the gang made it to and sneaked inside Terminus, met some locals, including Gareth, and were given a tour, where Rick made some observations.

The tour guide had the pocket watch Hershel gave Glenn, while residents were wearing riot gear and Maggie’s poncho … and then it all hit the fan.

In a hail of bullets, it became clear that they were being led to a specific location on the compound; Gareth ushered them into a train car and closed the door.

Once inside, they saw Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, Abraham, Rosita and Eugene. “They’re screwing with the wrong people,” Rick says as we fade to black.

The popular theory that Terminus is a community of cannibals seems to have merit. Train cars full of people, kept well-fed? Then huge piles of bones?

“The more people become a part of us, we get stronger,” said one Terminus resident, which could be interpreted as a perfect cannibal mantra too.

If the Terminus group are in fact cannibals … Beth is missing. When the show returns, we may learn she was the first victim of this new, “big bad” collective.

Speaking of the return, previous seasons have all premiered in mid-October, expect that for The Walking Dead Season 5 … and we already can’t wait.
