Justin Bieber's father, Jeremy Bieber, had a low-key evening with him last night in Miami after his brief stint in jail. No word if the little guy was placed in time out.
The singer, 19, and his dad, 39, were photographed spending time together Thursday, keeping largely to themselves following the previous evening's insanity.
That same day, Jeremy tweeted support for his son. "Love @justinbieber @JazmynBieber @JaxonBieber #reallife," he wrote. On Friday, he added:
"I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies."
"Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife."
Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday for DUI and drag racing. He also resisted arrest, cursed out the police, and used an expired license.
He appeared in bond court, wearing an orange jumpsuit, and was set bail at $2,500: $1,000 for resisting arrest, $1,000 for DUI, and $500 for his invalid license.
Justin and Jeremy Bieber were spotted together at a bar Set before his arrest; it has been reported that Jeremy even helped clear the road for the drag race.
The entertainer's mother, Patti Mallette, 37, has yet to comment on the incident, while manager Scooter Braun, 32, broke his silence early Friday.
"@justinbieber love you and I will act in the manner of someone who truly cares. That is all I have to say. Thanks for all those concerned," the mogul tweeted.
"Been a long day," Scooter went on. "Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad."
We can only hope the kid has some role models in his life who will administer the tough love he clearly needs, because his current trajectory is not good.
