Troye Sivan, an 18-year old Australian actor most recently seen in X-Men Origins: Wolvervine, has an announcement to make:
He’s gay.
“This is probably the most nervous I’ve ever been in my entire life, but I’m going to deal with it,” Sivan says to begin the following video. “On August 7, 2010, I told my family that I am gay. And on August 7, 2013, I want you guys to know that I’m gay.”
Sivan’s announcement follows a related one on Twitter by young actress Raven-Symone, whose admission prompted many to claim that the star ruined their childhood.
Let’s hope Troye does not receive any similar backlash.
