The accident involving Usher's son this week has gone from sad to scandalous.
On Monday, five-year old Usher Raymond V nearly drowned when he got his arm stuck in a drain.
But a contractor dove in to save the child and performed CPR before medics arrived. They described the boy as “conscious, alert and breathing” at the scene. He was then transported to the ICU.
In the wake of this incident, Tameka Raymond filed new legal documents that requested a custody hearing on the grounds that Usher has been leaving their kids in the care of an irresponsible aunt - and multiple outlets now confirm a judge has granted said hearing.
It is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. EST.
In the filing, Tameka says Usher continues to shirk his responsibilities as a parent by letting others care for the kids.
She adds that he is out of town 85% of every month and is seeking temporary primary custody of their two children, along with power over the children's education, healthcare, religion and extracurricular activities.
Just last year, Usher won custody of the ex-couple's sons after a long, bitter, ugly court battle. We may now be in for more of the same.
