After the awfulness that was the Rambo video game trailer, we get a good look at one of my most anticipated new games with the Assassin's Creed 4 trailer.
The Assassin's Creed franchise has always excelled at beautiful art and it looks like AC4 is no different. Not only that but what an upgrade we get in this newest game.
From a horse to now Captain of a ship? Yes, please.
It still remains to be seen if Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will follow in the monotonous footsteps of it's predecessors.
Walk around, eavesdrop, walk around, jump off a building, walk around, pickpocket, find a mission, eavesdrop some more, help a citizen...
The addition of the open world Caribbean should hopefully help with that. Hopefully.
One thing that hasn't changed however, is the spectacular yet absolutely ridiculous jumps from the View Points.
Actually, right off the bat with the gameplay video you see Edward jump off the boat into water that cannot be that deep. As a matter of fact, that ship should not even be remotely that close to the shore.
Of course then there's the jump from a tree on top of a temple on top of a bit of elevation into three, four feet of water? I highly doubt anyone on the Assassin's Creed design team has observed the "No Diving" signs at their local pools and that's just sad.
All that being said, I love the Assassin's Creed games and look forward to playing Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
What say you? Is the game too monotonous? The story outweighs the repeated tasks? Hate the game in all its forms? Hit the comments, THGers!
