Elmira Abdrazakova, Miss Russia, is strikingly beautiful.

Yet the 18-year-old has had to go through more humiliation than celebration since winning the crown, with haters criticizing her appearance and ethnicity.

The trolls have relentlessly attacked her for being “not Russian enough” or “not Slavic enough” for the title, forcing her to close her social media accounts.

Elmira Abdrazakova was born in Kazakhstan to a Tatar father, but was raised in Russia, considers herself Russian and is legally a Russian citizen.

That’s not good enough for Miss Russia’s haters.

Many pageant fans feel she shouldn’t have even been allowed to enter the competition, let alone win it, and they’re making sure she hears about it now.

According to Yahoo! News:

“One message, still posted on a Russian news site, describes her as an ‘ordinary Azeri parsley seller’ and says the user would not even glance in her direction.”

“Another said that Elmira Abdrazakova is nothing more than ‘an ordinary market stall worker’ and would be considered ‘a real beauty among sheep.’”

Elmira has also talked to the press about the recent turn of events, admitting she was obviously shocked and disappointed by the harsh online reactions.

“The nationality question … I don’t really understand it, I don’t understand why men would write to a young girl offensive things about her nationality,” she says.

“It humiliates first of all not me, but those people who write it. It is bizarre when people write things like that to me, I am surprised we have people of that sort here.”

Sadly … she shouldn’t be.
